On November 1, 2017, Director Matt Macking and the PMBC board welcomed Kyle Martin onto the Full-Time Staff as Programs Coordinator. Kyle's primary duties will include planning for the summer camping program and year-round programs, marketing, and communications.
Kyle was previously a camper and worked on summer staff at PMBC from 2007 through 2011. Kyle served as a workboy, counselor and three summers as program director. Kyle attended Cairn University, graduating with a Bachelor's in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor's in Bible. He served at Camp Hebron, a Christian summer camp & retreat center, for three years, assisting in marketing and development. During Kyle's time there, he also served on their leadership team.
Kyle is passionate about camping ministry:
Kyle is also passionate about discipleship of summer staff. While on summer staff, he could feel the effects of being surrounded by positive influences, putting his faith into action and the accountability that the summer staff community encouraged. His time on staff created a desire to be more like Christ. Kyle wants to continue to cultivate a positive and transformative experience for summer staffers at PMBC.
He also aims to keep friends of Camp engaged with what is happening at PMBC. Kyle desires to have consistent communication so that supporters are well-informed of the volunteer and financial needs of Camp, the ministry that happens, events, and opportunities for stakeholders to engage with each other.
Kyle is married to his summer camp sweetheart, Hannah Martin (formerly Morris). Hannah and Kyle met as campers and served together on summer staff for five years. Kyle and Hannah are rooted at Parker Hill Church's Dickson City Campus and currently assist with the youth group. When Kyle isn't cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles or 76ers, you'll find him playing with his dogs, Benny & Rosie or enjoying time on the bay with his family.
