Saturday Night is Date Night!
Dinner Choices (make sure to select what you want on the registration!) :
Ribeye Steak - A flavorful and tender cut of beef seared in butter, coated in a mixture of spices grilled to medium temperature. More thorough cooking can be undertaken for those who desire meat cooked to higher temperatures than medium.
Chicken Marsala - Carefully trimmed chicken breast cutlets lightly coated in a flour and herb breading sauteed in butter with mushrooms, shallots, and Marsala cooking wine. (A lightly spiced chicken breast can be substituted here if desired)
Oven Baked Salmon - Fresh salmon fillets slowly baked in our ovens atop lemon slices, topped with a sprig of dill, lemon slice, and our homemade lemon dill butter sauce.
Vegetarian Option: Eggplant Parmesan - Thickly sliced eggplant lightly breaded and fried until golden brown, layered with whole milk mozzarella cheese, baked in our house marinara sauce and topped with fresh basil leaves.
(All meals are preceded by a salad and soup option, accompanied by green beans with buttery toasted almonds, well seasoned creamy garlic mashed potatoes, and followed by a house dessert)
Couples have private rooms and bathroom. Cottages and Suites come standard with a queen sized bed. Our cabins are converted from dorm style rooms into a king sized bed suite. Our comfortable rooms include recently remodeled bathrooms.
Sessions are hosted in the Woodside Conference Room. Engage with a brief video series coupled with a workbook and guide. Group discussions typically last 20-30 minutes following videos and are facilitated by PMBC staff.
Sessions typically last a total of an hour. Usually there is time following the sessions to debrief with your spouse to gain perspective on what may have been observed or realized. Each retreat varies, but there are normally five to six total sessions from Friday-Sunday.
Money, in-laws, sex, arguments … we all want a healthy, loving marriage, but there are so many real issues that can stand in the way.
Research has shown that over 50% of marriages are ending in divorce. That is why we’ve partnered with Pastor Chip Ingram of Living on the Edge Radio Program, financial guru Dave Ramsey and Super Bowl MVP Kurt Warner to tackle the common issues couples are facing in their marriages today.
Marriage: Built to Last isn't your typical marriage study. Throughout the series, you'll watch 24 real life couples from across the country share candidly about their struggles in communication, finances, sexual intimacy, expectations, and more.
In the study, you will hear the story of Dave Ramsey and his wife Sharon as they recovered from financial stress and hardship. You will hear the story of Kurt Warner and his wife Brenda share candidly about expectations, trust issues, and adjusting to a blended family.
Marriage: Built to Last includes Biblical and practical teaching from Chip Ingram on these six critical topics:
Adjusting to Expectations
Learning to Communicate Clearly
Breaking Down Walls
Restoring Sex and Intimacy
Striving for a Christ-Centered Marriage
Whether you’re newly married, remarried, or wanting to improve your relationship, Chip Ingram provides Biblical and practical teaching to give you tools to live intentionally and love Biblically.
